The aim of the fundraising campaign is to collect money for the building a well for the children of Blue Sky Schools.
Budget
- Renting drilling machine + PVC pipe= 6.6 million shillings (2500€)
- Pump= 2 million shillings (800€)
- Electrical installation= 0.6 million shillings (260€)

History and General Information
A few years ago we created a water extraction system in order to provide water for the 50 students the school had at the time.
This system consists of a pump that takes the water from a nearby river to the school tank using electricity and/or fuel.
We now have a double-filtration system to purify the water and make it drinkable.
The main problem we encounter is that the infrastructures are not reliable and most of the time there is no electric supply. Besides, the fuel is too expensive.
Due to the current situation, and as a temporary measure, the school workers have to go to the river and collect the water with buckets because the tank is completely empty.
We now have 250 pupils in the school and therefore this system cannot supply water for all of them.
After doing a lot of research, we came to the conclusion that the best solution was building a well. By doing so we will guarantee the water supply and also improve the purity of the water. We will also reduce the cost of the current filtration system.
Taking into account all the elements needed for building the well, an estimated sum of 9.2 million shillings is needed to complete the project (3500€ approximately).
